Mission & Vision
The mission of the BC Mental Health and Addictions
Research Network is to contribute to the excellence
of mental health and addictions research in British Columbia by strengthening
relationships among researchers across disciplines, institutions and
health services organizations. The
aim is to build research capacity and foster
collaborative research that will inform policy
and practice in the field of mental health and
addictions.
The vision for the Network is to significantly advance the development of collaborative research and to help BC become a leading force in mental health and addictions research in Canada.
In the area of mental health, the Network aims to build capacity and promote networking among the diverse nodes in mental health research. In the addictions field, the Network is partnering with the Centre for Addictions Research of British Columbia (CARBC), and will aim to further expand the partnerships and infrastructures that have been initiated across the province.
